knuckling trees

Playful trees tickle each other
with boney grandmothers fingers,
leaves rustle amongst the trees
carrying misheard chinese whispers
under your canopy hiding from harsh sun.
sit uncomfortably between knuckling roots.

some haikus

.ShadedNeeded.
Fat mans black t-shirt
sweating stretched salt sundial rings.
Afternoon wilts on.

.Wilting.
Low hanging branched
tapping morse code messages.
Back to ground control.

stops to catch his busy breath.
Flower sags with weight.

tumbling clouds soon collide.
Soft fluffy car crash.

some more haikus

.NaturesWhiteNoise.
Wind tickles my ears
now only breeze fills my soul.
Self doubt is not heard.

pushy pushers at packed bar.
Be the gentleman.

some more haikus

.RainSoon.
Clouds overhead brew,
turning into greying lumps
of sucked candyfloss.

.WaitingForMyFlight.
Flight of butterfly
graceful towards a fresh start.
Shell, left dead behind.

.ForgottenConversations.
Headphone encased world,
no-one but ourselves in it.
We are all strangers.

some more haikus

.TrafficJam.
Bee impatiently
bumbles loudly, behind me.
Now safe to pass by.

.LambChopsAreReady.
Spring silence broken
by wary bleeting calls from
new lambing mothers.

.OutdoorRamble.
Squelchy field loaded,
like land mines, be careful where
you put your foot down.

haikus again

.CheerSpringIsHere.
Spring daisies appear,
like disgarded smoked fag butts.
Litter the park ground.

.ShutUp.
Gulls squalk biting tones,
like valley girls out on a
saturday night town.

LunchtimeTunes.
Birdsong fights traffic
to be my lunchtime soundtrack
during park visit.

haikus

.NeverFades.
Water flows, cascades.
Sharp rocks ground down, until smooth.
Scars will never fade.

.ListeningIn.
Extractor fan hums,
polite conversation said,
over coffee cup.

.ValleysRamble.
Woodpeckers rhythm,
train chorus rumbles below.
stream twinkles like stars.

some more haikus

.Outdoors.
Walking in nature,
always slow pace, calm senses.
To see all of it.

.DisusedTravel.
Forgotten train track,
no longer smooth, rusting rough.
Like a unshaved face.

.StuckInWinter.
Soggy muddy browns,
waiting for the right moment.
Bursting to spring greens.

haiku

.WinterTree.
Like a hand through hair,
wind ruffles through the branches.
Of this balding tree

haikus

.MyIdealCarpet.
Freshly laid tarmac.
Squishy underfoot, smelly,
like a warm cowpat.

Storm rages down hail,
bouncing off me, like bullets.
I am Superman

I Prefer the Shade

I can't see the appeal of sitting in the park, tanning up in the strong summers sun, i'd rather lurk in the shades of the trees, resting up against one, like natures porch over looking the back garden.

more haikus

.EmptyLife.
Busy man has no
time, for what he holds so dear.
Will end up lonely

.WetSummer.
Soggy damp with rain,
puddles forming, blocked are drains.
squelching shoes not nice.

.SinkingBelow.
Silent as a stone,
skimming along the water.
slowly sinking down.

.SummersDay.
Birds chirping in trees,
grass itching at my pink knees.
A quaint summers day.

.Storm.
Thunder overhead,
flash boom, the house does shudder.
Hard rain rattles roof.

.DriftWood.
Floating down river,
breeze makes my back a shiver
whoops I've lost an oar.

.WashAway.
Pebble on beach,
tides come, slowly wash away
all my fears and dreams.

.SelfHarm.
Hate rising inside.
Surface splits to release pain,
Blood flows like lava.
